So I went down today to Jalan Besar Stadium, with bene, iggy and khai, to catch the soccer finals b/w VJ and MJ. I was expecting a spectacular match, nice crisp passing, end-to-end switching of play, great goals etc etc etc. I was disappointed, except for maybe Alex’s goal which was pretty amazing. What was really great about going down to watch the match was the atmosphere, almost the entire of both schools were there to support. Jalan Besar was packed. The crowd, your entire school getting behind you, cheering you on, was really nice. I could only wish to be playing there, instead of watching. So in the end, VJ won 3-2, with a last-minute goal, some scramble in the penalty area but i guess they deserve it cos MJ beat them in the finals last year. When will it be CJ’s turn?
