F1 Birthday Celebration

Went to celebrate Marissa’s birthday today. Real special one cos we ended the day catching F1 qualifying! Well it was good! Atmosphere was awesome, the build up to the event was great too! Maybe even better than the qualifying itself. I had fun, great grandstand esplanade seats thanks to my dad! Sooo fun, feels like ‘A’s are over… but it’s not. Most importantly, happy 18th (in advance) and hope you enjoyed yourself today! Love you baby!

The last stretch

The hardest period is here. Everything has been taught and learnt. Results will lie in just how much we want to succeed. Just revision, revision and revision for now. I’ve never studied harder before man, not even 50% for ‘O’s haha. You just feel that nothing’s ever finished and there’s endless work to be done. 2 more months to go, just 2. So near, yet so far. Really hope I’ll survive through this period well enough. I’m so caught up with studying that I can’t even help out with my dad’s surprise party coming up in October.

I just pray for strength.

History

What happens when someone leaves without a reason?

All I can do is to pray to God to keep he and his family safe, whatever that happened to him.

I'm no superman.

They say that even the best falls down, even the strong may falter. I’m neither the best, nor do I consider myself strong. Yet i still fall. Just how much is too much?

I’m only human, we all are.

Aung San Suu Kyi

How is it that in the world that we live in today, there is still political oppression?

Aung San Suu Kyi has (again) been announced to 18 months home arrest following her so-called breach of the internal security of Burma. Though significantly halved from her first sentence, the sentence is still way too harsh. The military government will just find any means and way for them to stay in power. Clearly, Aung San Suu Kyi poses the strongest opposition, that’s why her house arrest will coincidentally prevent her from taking part in the next elections. She’s the perfect person to lead Burma out of what I call turmoil. She studied in Oxford University and her father, Aung San, was Burma’s independence hero way back then. Not only does she has the brains, she has the history in some sense.

I’ve studied about her in history and till today, she’s still under trial. Since her landslide political victory in the 1990 elections, where the military junta refused to regconise her victory, till now, she has been in dentention for 14 out of the last 20 years. I don’t know why I’m angered by the verdict since it was pretty expected but I really hope ‘justice’ will prevail and put her in power of Burma and lead them out of military governance and into democracy, finally, what should have been since 20 years ago.

The Tale Of A Lizard

So I wanted to enjoy a nice, long, hot bath after a long day out. And I did, but when I stepped into the shower, I realised I wasn’t alone. I was accompanied by a lizard. I tried to wash it away, out of my shower area but it just didn’t wanna leave. I had to bathe, so I just stood right at the opposite corner, staring at it the whole time. Reason why I was so paranoid is cos of a previous bad experience with one where a lizard fell on me once while I was sleeping. Apparently, the lizard wanted a shower too cos just when I finished soaping (which I always do last), the lizard conveniently leaped out of the shower area and took its leave.

‘I’m A Celebrity , Get Me Out Of Here’ trial came right within the corners of my bathroom. I decided to post this cos I found it somewhat interesting and cos it kept me wondering why someone like me (who’s apparently bigger in size than an average being), like many others, could be so afraid of something probably 20 times smaller and somewhat harmless. For me, it’s cos of the lizard falling on me before. What about you?

1st!!

I’m just happy to have found someone so special to me. Someone who’s so caring, understanding, loving, sweet and the list goes on.

Where can you find someone who stays by your side for many many hours teaching how to roller-blade and being ever-so patient with you when you’re feeling so frustrated. Where can you find someone who doesn’t mind accompanying you doing whatever you want to, playing LAN with me for hours. Where can you find someone like her?

I’m just really lucky to have found someone whom I love so much and loves me back more.

I love you baby, happy anniversary (:
